Contract to Hire

Contract-to-hire, also known as temporary-to-permanent or temp-to-perm, refers to a type of employment arrangement where an individual is initially hired on a temporary or contract basis, with the intention of transitioning to a permanent role within the company if both the employer and employee are satisfied with the arrangement.

In the context of recruiting, contract-to-hire refers to the process of finding and placing candidates in temporary or contract positions with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future. This type of arrangement can be beneficial for both the employer and the employee, as it allows both parties to “try out” the arrangement before committing to a permanent position.
